The experience of providing automation, digital imaging and digital asset management solutions to publishers, museums and not-for-profit organizations handling large collections of digital images affirmed the need for new approaches to digital problems and led to the start of KAS - Ken Allen Studios, L.L.C, which expanded recently by opening a sister company in Washington DC - Ken Allen Digital, L.L.C.

KAS is a Brooklyn-based digital production company founded by Ken Allen in 2005. The company provides digital production and printing services. Its philosophy and vision is to use technology to create an artisan-studio with its care and concern for building a high quality production based on craftsmanship.
